He Breaks the Chains
Psalms 34:7 • Acts 5:19-20
When shadows fall, and doubt takes hold Like David hid, in depths untold A whisper says, “You’re not alone” His watchful eye, guards all His own A mighty hand, I feel it near Dispelling every rising fear.
Oh, the angel of the Lord, He guards us all around! He breaks the chains, where darkness can be found! Not just to hide, but to proclaim His truth, With words of life, for every soul! From every peril, He delivers us anew, His power within, to see His purpose through!
Then prison walls, rose cold and grey Where Peter lay, at close of day No earthly key, could turn the lock But heaven’s light, split through the rock! An angel came, with fiery grace Opened the doors, and showed the way. Not to retreat, but to return, His living Word, for all to learn.
He preserves us not for ease, but for His holy call, To stand where shadows seize, and give our all! His safety is His power, within the very fight, To be His heralds now, shining His glorious light! No chains can bind His message, no man can still His voice, Our unbound witness echoes, let all the world rejoice!
Oh, the angel of the Lord, He guards us all around! He breaks the chains, where darkness can be found! Not just to hide, but to proclaim His truth, With words of life, for every soul! From every peril, He delivers us anew, His power within, to see His purpose through!
Go! Speak the words of life! Advance His Kingdom, banish strife! Unbound, unyielding, ever bold, His story now, forever told! Oh, the angel of the Lord... His story told!
